Turchin Library’s 2017 Summer Hours

Effective May 15th, Turchin Business Library will observe summer hours. We will be open for research help, access to electronic resources, and as a study space during the Business Minor Summer Institute and for all other Freeman students completing coursework this summer.

Research Help for Entrepreneurs

Turchin Business Library is pleased to provide this guide to resources for starting and managing a business.  Designed for local and regional entrepreneurs and small business owners, the resources presented here include links to business databases through the state library of Louisiana, business plan guides, and sources for registering intellectual property and researching your customers and industries.  Links to city and state sites for determining your legal structure and registering your business are also included.

FINANCIAL ANALYSIS LAB: where is it now?

Turchin Library’s Financial Analysis Lab has been relocated due to the renovation construction of the Goldring-Woldenberg complex.  Machines with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and Morningstar Direct are now located in GW1 on the first floor, room 120.

The machines with Datastream and SDC are now located in Turchin Library’s Research Center on the 3rd floor of GW1. These machines also have Capital IQ. There is a Bloomberg terminal in the Research Center as well.

Lost Item and Overdue Policy

Beginning January 1, 2016, Turchin Business Library will update its lost item and overdue policy. The new policy mirrors that of Howard-Tilton Memorial Library. The detailed policy can be viewed here:

Bloomberg Training
