Turchin Library Presents: Simply Analytics Training - March 19

Turchin Business Library is excited to present a training session on the database SimplyAnalytics with Steven Swartz, VP of Sales at Geographic Research, Inc. SimplyAnalytics is a web-based mapping database that allows users to create thematic maps and reports using thousands of demographic, marketing, and business data.

Geographically, SimplyAnalytics covers census block-groups, census tracts, zip codes, cities, counties, states, and the entire United States. The database content includes consumer behavior, psychographics, demographics, consumer expenditure, sales opportunity and market analysis, financial product market information, and profiles of over 23 million U.S. businesses from D & B.

Turchin Library subscribes to the following modules in SimplyAnalytics: EASI ® Standard Package, which includes data from the year 2000, 2010, Current Estimates, Five Year Projections, D&B's Complete US Company Database, Nielsen Financial CLOUT, Retail Market Power, Consumer Buying Power, SimmonsLOCAL® and the Claritas PRIZM® Data Package.

SimplyAnalytics supports research on a broad range of business research questions, such as:

  • Where should I locate my business?
  • Is there a market for gourmet pizza in New Orleans?
  • What’s the household average expenditure on food away from home in the zip code 70118?
  • How many advertising and public relations agencies are located in the Denver metro area? What are their addresses?  How many total employees do they have?
